To speed heating when the engine is cold and the outside temperature is below about 55° F, the system is supported by an automatic electric hot-air auxiliary heater inside the warm-air duct to defrost windows and warm the interior quickly. A hot-water heater with a timer is also available for cargo and passenger van (diesel only). For warmer weather, a front air-conditioning system is standard on all models with a TempMatic automatic climate-control system, and rear A/C is available. An attractive heating and ventilation control unit with LED illumination is in the center console, right at hand.

With the 2008 Dodge Sprinter, you get heat-insulated windows with all models. Side windows consist of single-layer safety glass. And front door power windows with touch-control are standard.
