Workhorse power

Cummins®. It's a legend among diesels, tough-as-nails and willing to work overtime. The renowned 6.7-liter Cummins® Turbo Diesel engine reliably churns out a mighty 305 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque, thanks to a Variable Geometry Turbocharger, which boosts performance and fuel economy. And the Cummins® engine comes standard with a class-exclusive[1], factory-installed exhaust brake.

Cummins power is efficient and reliable. High-efficiency electronic fuel injection improves fuel economy and it's the only diesel that meets more stringent ARB state emission standards. This allows Chassis Cabs to idle indefinitely at a job site so you can use their HVAC and electrical features. Cummins has fewer moving parts than gasoline engines, so it's extra durable.

Speaking of durable, Ram 3500 Chassis Cab offers the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine, which now features variable valve timing for even greater efficiency and performance.

    Best-in-class standard fuel tank capacity

Dodge Ram Chassis Cab trucks feature a standard 52-gallon fuel tank, giving them best-in-class standard fuel tank capacity[2] and a long distance range between fill-ups. An auxiliary fuel port provides easy connections for auxiliary fuel-driven power sources. The available 22-gallon midship auxiliary tank better accommodates rollback carrier upfits.
