The high-voltage system is equipped with safety features that are designed to disable the flow of energy in most accident situations. In the event of an incident in which airbags[1] are deployed, emergency personnel may pull the high-voltage service disconnect at the battery pack source below the second row. Once the high-voltage system resets, it runs a self-diagnostic test before the driver is allowed to restart the vehicle.
