In the event of an accident, Grand Caravan is equipped with airbag[1] protection throughout the cabin. In addition to protection by the body structure, side curtain airbags[1] offer side-impact protection to front- and rear-seat outboard occupants.

To help absorb the energy of impact, structural reinforcements of dual-phase steel are located in the octagonal front inner and outer rail, in a mid-dash cross member and in the engine cradle attachment posts. In addition, there are reinforced roof bows and high-strength reinforcements throughout.

    An obstacle detection system automatically opens the available power sliding doors and available power rear liftgate when an obstacle is detected while closing.

    Sentry Key immobilizes the engine, while the panic button on the key fob sounds the alarm to draw attention, if needed.
