Extraordinary off-road articulation.
Incomparably smooth highway ride.

It's no surprise the All-New Ram 1500 has a smoother ride than Chevy, Ford or Toyota.[1] We replaced the leaf springs with new new class-exclusive[2] multi-link coil suspension for increased ride quality, comfort and better handling without sacrificing payload capacity. What you don't get is rear-end "hop" when making a tight turn.

  • New balanced front and rear spring rates
  • Improved shock absorbers
  • Fully boxed hydroformed frame
  • Improved front suspension
  • New front springs and tubular stabilizer bar

Simply put, the All-New Ram is a flat-out better ride from front to back.

      • Hydroformed frame

Hydroformed frame construction increases dimensional accuracy by reducing the amount of welding, which tends to cause distortion. The frame has fully-boxed side rails to achieve stiffness and impact strength while reducing weight. Also, the serviceable front frame rail tips with patented crush initiators are designed to absorb frontal impacts.
