All that wind tunnel analysis helped carve best-in-class aerodynamics[1]. Ram's mirrors alone represent an entire chapter of exhaustive aerodynamic research and testing. The bold new hood bulge ends in a cowling at the windshield, covering the wipers and protecting them from drag.
New windshield side moldings channel rainwater onto the roof instead of side windows where it can interfere with visibility. The shape of the leading edge of the windshield frame was fine-tuned to minimize wind noise. We even tuned the tailgate for improved aerodynamics. Joints were made sound, seals tight, and airflow resourceful — all contributing to one of the most efficient noise, vibration and harshness control systems ever built.
Best-in-class aerodynamics = More MPG.
